‘Jab We Met’ Actor Kishore Pradhan Passes Away At 8612th January 2019
Veteran Bollywood and Marathi actor Kishore Pradhan passed away on Friday, 11 January, at the age of 86. He worked in a lot of Marathi and Bollywood movies, as well as television shows. He is known for his roles in Bollywood movies like Jab We Met and Lage Raho Munnabhai. His brief role in Jab We Met is one of the most remembered parts of the movie. He played the role of a station master in Jab We Met and in his scene with Kareena Kapoor, he delivered his dialogue, “akeli ladki khuli hui tijori ki tarah hoti hai.” This became an instant hit and is remembered till date.
Kishore Pradhan last worked in the Marathi film Shubh Lagna Savdhaan. His co-star from Shubh Lagna Savdhaan Subodh Bhave offered condolence while speaking to The Indian Express. He also told that while the exact reason for his death is not known, Kishore Pradhan was keeping unwell for quite some time. Here is what Subodh said, “We worked together in Shubh Lagna Savdhaan, but after the film’s release, I couldn’t keep in touch with Kishore Kaka, as he was not keeping well, and I was out shooting for my film. He was keeping unwell. I don’t know the exact reason of his death yet. His family is grieving and busy with preparations for his funeral.”
Famous Marathi poet and writer, Chandrashekhar Gokhale too expressed grief on the actor’s death and paid tribute to him through a Facebook post:

Kishore Pradhan began his career in acting while he was pursuing a degree at Morris College, Nagpur. The actor participated in a lot of college festivals and eventually started his own theatre group named Natraj. He showed his acting mettle in more than 100 Marathi plays and also acted in around 18 English plays.
