Ditching MNCs’ Job Offers To Making It Big In The Entertainment World: Zuber K Khan Talks About His Journey As An Actor2nd January 2019
The handsome hunk Zuber K Khan is a very busy man these days. The dashing actor is busy promoting his two upcoming Bollywood releases, Pagal Kar Diya Toone also starring Mugdha Godse, and Dosti Ke Side Effects which features Sapna Chaudhary, Vikrant Anand and Anju Jadhav along with him. Having worked on a motley of roles both on the silver screen and the small screen, Zuber K Khan sure has come a long way. From being one of the most loved television personalities to becoming a talented Bollywood stunner, Zuber has and still continues to prove his mettle as an actor and as an entertainer. For the uninitiated, this hottie holds an engineering degree and is a powerhouse of talent. He is trained in martial arts, swimming, horse riding, and the list goes on. At the age of 19, he was giving home tuitions, worked as a gym trainer as well as a dance teacher, and took up various modelling assignments too. He did all of this simultaneously while pursuing engineering. He even got selected by a couple of MNCs during campus placements. But Zuber K Khan had other plans and knew he had it in him to fulfil those. So the young boy with big dreams convinced his parents to support him in his decision of trying out his luck in the tinsel town. As this engineer-turned-actor gears up for his two big Bollywood releases, we spoke to him about his journey so far, his current projects and his future plans.
Zuber talked in detail about his experience working on Pagal Kar Diya Toone and also shared how much he enjoyed working with Mugdha Godse. Here is what he said, “We shot 20 days back to back for the film and it was a wonderful experience. Shooting the action sequence was quite fun even though I got hurt while filming those. Having Mugdha (Godse) around was one of the most amazing parts of working on this project. She is a very co-operative actress and despite being there in the industry for long, she never throws any tantrums or shows off her stardom. Instead, she is very helpful to her co-stars and it is her supporting nature that adds all the more charm to her personality which is why I loved shooting with her.”
Giving details of his experience shooting for Dosti Ke Side Effects, Zuber told us, “As the name is self-explanatory, the movie is about friendship. Fortunately, Sapna (Chaudhary) and I are so good buddies already, so it was quite easy to portray our off-screen friendship on-screen. I enjoyed every bit of those 30-35 days for which we shot the film. There have been a lot of wonderful memories that I have from this movie. One thing that I enjoyed the most was the never-ending dancing sessions that Sapna and I used to have while shooting. Since both of us love to dance, we used to make the most of every opportunity that we used to get to dance. Be it in the van, between the scenes, after pack up or anything else, we were always dancing. In fact, it is our love for dance which helped us connect so well and that is why we could come as naturals when it came to portraying a strong bond of friendship on screen.”
Zuber is excited that his fans will get to see different aspects of his acting skills as his roles in both the movies are totally different from each other. While he plays a simple, down-to-earth, family-oriented guy in Pagal Kar Diya Toone, his role in Dosti Ke Side Effects will be showcasing three different shades of the character that he is playing. So was it difficult for him to work on two different roles simultaneously? The actor answers, “The mantra to succeed in the field of acting is just like it is for any other job- hard work, dedication and discipline. So every time I work on a project, I ensure I do my homework well before going on the set. I pay attention to each and every detail related to the film, my character and I try to do everything that it takes to get into the skin of the character. In fact, I take the bound script home and rehearse so much to prepare myself well just to ensure that I am able to deliver my lines flawlessly in one go when I am in front of the camera.”
While Zuber has quite a lot of Bollywood projects in his kitty, the hottie’s fans (read female fans) miss watching him every day on television. After all, he literally made thousands of girls go weak in their knees as Manpreet Singh Bedi in Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki. So, do we see him returning to television anytime soon? Here’s what Zuber has to say, “Working on television has been a great experience as the onerous schedules make you more disciplined as an actor. Moreover, I got the privilege to work with some of the highly experienced actors from the industry which turned out to be a great learning experience. However, I am enjoying working for the movies presently. So I am looking forward to taking up television projects only if something really good is there in the store for me.”
Here’s wishing Zuber K Khan all the best for his upcoming releases Pagal Kar Diya Toone (releasing 11 January, 2019) and Dosti Ke Side Effects (releasing 8 February, 2019), and for all his future projects.
