Saumya Tandon married a banker Saurabh Devendra Singh in December 2016 in an intimate ceremony and kept her marriage under wraps for quite some time. The news of her marriage came out in open in January 2017 when she posted her honeymoon pictures on her social media accounts. And in one of the honeymoon pictures that she had posted, she wrote this message which made it official, “Became kids again in r 1st skiing class. Learning, Falling, rising, together. In a new class of life with marriage hope v hav fun along d way.”
Saumya and Saurabh knew each other for 10 years before they got married to each other. However, the two didn’t date because they were not in the same city for around seven years. Saurabh was out of India for further studies while Saumya was studying in India. For a long time, they were in touch with each other only through phone calls and mails. Saumya told in one of her interviews post her marriage that she “eventually told him (Saurabh) that they had to be in the same city if they wanted to give their future together a chance.”
She also mentioned the distance to be one of the reasons which kept her uncertain about her relationship with Saurabh and that’s why she preferred not to talk about it. She said, “That was also one of the reasons I didn’t talk about my relationship — even I didn’t know what lay ahead, and life and relationships are unpredictable. However, he left everything and returned to India for me; that’s something I will always cherish and appreciate.”
